Start timing for groups or class
After starting watches for a group. I would like to add another group and have the option to start all the watches for the new group, with one button. You could have another button besides the arrow/pause button. It could start new or stopped watches

So this is done in 2.0; let me know if you like how we did it!

Like Gard S I deal with multiple starts for different classes but this time for Kayaking. You noted the concern with extra buttons, which I can relate to. Could it be set up that if you use groups, when you start the first person I. The group then it starts all the racers in that group.

That could work. So long the active times still runs. Probably easier programming too

Makes sense, although I'm not crazy about adding another button (particularly on the iPhone). Maybe whenever you add a watch or a group, the master button reverts to All Start.
The All Stop button is primarily used when you need to either reset the race, or when you have folks that didn't finish, so hiding it temporarily may be fine. I'll play with this, and see if there's a problem.

This is for Mountain bike racing. You can have one start, where you have multiple atletes competing. So after lets say 5 min, the next class starts, where you also have several atletes to time. It can be many classes running at the same time, with different start times

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. Can I get a little background on how this would be used? (Not to mention, I always like to hear how folks are using Watches.)
