    So, adding the type of race to the list is easy; you can do it yourself in Settings, but that would just allow you to mark the type.

    I’ve thought about relays and I’m not sure how to connect multiple watches appropriately (from the user interface point of view). Any suggestions

    Define a team as a list of people. Assign team or person to a watch.

    Think about timing something like the Hood To Coast relay race: http://hoodtocoastrelay.com. The number of legs are fixed. Each team member completes 2, 3 or 4 legs of the race. At the end of the race, it is useful to know how each team member performed.
